Welcome to All Cats and Dogs Veterinary Clinic, LLC!

Founded by Laura Smith, DVM in 2002 the business started as a House Call practice known as All Cats and Dogs Veterinary Services.

In 2010 Dr Smith opened All Cats and Dogs Veterinary Clinic, LLC at its current location at 6543 Crain Highway, La Plata, Maryland.
Conveniently located in La Plata in the Shelton Center

We have now a 2 veterinarian practice with both Dr. Laura Smith and Dr. Thomas Smith providing care to the pets of Southern Maryland.

We provide wellness services, sick pet visits, surgery, dental care and in  house laboratory and radiology (x-ray) services.

We provide in home euthanasia services for both Charles County and the surrounding areas of Southern Maryland.

We feel the most important thing we do for our clients is providing the peace of mind that comes from knowing they have done well for their pets
by having them cared for by us.  We strive to always be advocates for pets, letting owners know the care that will be of greatest benefit to their pets’ long life and health.

  • Jessica got my puppy seen the same day. He was very sick and unable to keep anything down. The vet took great care of him and diagnosed him with a parasite. It was fast and affordable. He is doing great now. Once they have seen him, they will see him back for vaccines without charging me an office visit or exam. The “cheap” place on Bensville Road ALWAYS charge me an office visit, even when it was only an assistant seeing him.

  • Dr(s) Laura and Tom Smith at All Cats and Dogs Veterinary Clinic have been taking care of our pups for the past 20 years and we can not ask for better service! They always treat our pups as if they were their own and find the best possible care plan them. Prices are affordable and most surgeries may even be performed on site. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins are always welcomed. From simple scratches and cuts, allergies, thyroid and diabetes they treat it all. Best part about them, they actually care about your fur babies. They can even arrange a housecall when it’s time for your pups to cross over into Rainbow Bridge allowing your fur baby to go in peace at their own home with all their family there to say goodbye - and maybe even shed a tear or two with you as they give you a paw print from your fur baby. There’s no one else I trust to take care of my pups. Thank you Dr(s) Smith and family!!!!!
